I'm Michael—I’ve worked in the food industry for over 13 years, starting in fine dining before moving into development kitchens. I love bringing classic techniques together with quality ingredients to create dishes that feel fun, flavourful, and familiar. I believe the best ingredients need very little done to them to truly shine.

I once almost burned down the HelloFresh kitchen by leaving a pot simmering and heading home—luckily, it turned itself off! Lesson learned: even seasoned chefs need a reminder sometimes… and maybe a kitchen timer.

Experience

I trained at the 3 AA Rosette restaurant Odette’s in London and worked in luxury hotels across the Cotswolds before opening and running my own bistro. Since then, I’ve focused on food development, working with brands like Starbucks, easyJet, The Wimbledon Tennis Championships, and Compass. At HelloFresh, I bring my background in fine dining and love of great ingredients to every dish.
