Peter Fairs has been growing quinoa since the 1980s, initially his harvests were destined for bird seed, but Peter selected and replanted the best tasting seed heads eventually arriving at a delicious nutty flavoured quinoa that, unlike many imports, did not have a bitter seed coating that needed to be washed away before cooking. He founded Hodmedod in 2012. Hodmedod is a small but growing independent business, growing pulses and grains sustainably on British farms. Theirs is some of the first British-grown Quinoa which we’re proud to use in our recipes. Packed with protein and flavour to add to any dish!
