“The seed varieties that we grow are carefully selected for their superior flavours, in fact, we trial up to 150 types each year in search of the best-tasting tomatoes.”
The Tomato Stall began on the Isle of Wight in the summer of 2007. The sunny, maritime climate here is perfect for growing the best tasting tomatoes. Their entire growing system is completely biodegradable, from the coconut husk that the tomatoes grow in, to the strings that support the plants.
They also compost all of their plant waste and use the resulting compost to enrich the soil. This has helped to reduce fertiliser inputs, improve soil fertility and structure which results in more delicious tomatoes.
