Did you know 1.6bn tonnes of food is wasted every year across the globe?* We are focused on reducing food waste by delivering the right amount of ingredients needed to cook meals. We also minimise food waste in the supply chain by carefully ordering the right amount of ingredients needed from our suppliers for our weekly deliveries.

We are committed to providing fresh, high-quality ingredients to customers. In some instances, we use packaging to keep food fresh and safe to eat, which eliminates food waste. We’re fully aware of the environmental impact that some packaging has and are constantly looking to remove it where we can.
At HelloFresh, we believe that everyone deserves fresh food straight from the source - and that starts with our suppliers. Our in-house team works hard everyday to foster close relationships with honest and trustworthy suppliers to source beautiful, quality ingredients for your best dinner yet. Because knowing where your food comes from is just as important as how it tastes.
We partner with charities in our community to help where we can. We currently partner with Felix Project, Alexandra Rose and Banbury Fridge Project to give the little food surplus from our packing facility to those who need it.
A recent study from the University of Michigan found that average greenhouse gas emissions were one-third lower for meal kit dinners than the store-bought meals when every step in the process—from the farm to the landfill—was considered.
Buying direct from local suppliers and delivering to you, cuts out wholesalers and supermarkets and reduces our carbon emissions. And because we only order what we need for your boxes, there’s no excess produce going to waste. Great for freshness, and great for the environment.
