A LOOK INSIDE

We are Committed to a Safe Work Environment

We Listen to Our Employees
Employees are encouraged to voice their ideas, questions and concerns to our team. We value open two-way dialogue in our buildings and welcome direct feedback. Employees have many ways to share their thoughts, including speaking to their manager or speaking to our onsite people or safety teams. Our local Fresh Forum is an employee-led engagement group which fosters internal collaboration and offers a place for employees to be involved in designing their work place. In addition, we launched a Culture Committee that organizes regular gatherings to actively address and promote DE&I initiatives within the team.
We also regularly conduct employee surveys, hold safety engagement activities, host onsite focus groups, roundtables, start-of-shift standups and All Hands meetings where we encourage discussion at the site level. Finally, we have a 24/7 Speak up! hotline available for anyone to share a concern anonymously.

We Offer Competitive Pay and Benefits
Our hourly employees prepare customer orders and work in full-time roles that offer competitive pay – our starting rate for a production operative is £11.60 per hour, which is 1.4% higher than the national living wage. We also conduct a comprehensive annual pay review to ensure we stay competitive in the local job market. For our salaried colleagues, we also conduct a yearly performance based pay review exercise using external benchmarking data.
All HelloFresh staff, whether salaried or hourly, receive a selection of benefits outside of the workplace. These include a discount for HelloFresh or Green Chef products; a life assurance scheme; pension schemes, and health programmes such as eyewear and eye test contributions, a Cycle to Work scheme and an Employee Assistance Programme. Salaried employees also benefit from a gym membership programme, access to Headspace, and an Octopus electric vehicle lease scheme.

We Set High Expectations for Our Suppliers and Hold Them Accountable
To manage variation in customer demand, HelloFresh works with third-party partners who help supplement our workforce. Starting as a temporary employee is one way to step into a regular, full-time role at HelloFresh. In 2024 more than 180 people transitioned from temporary workers to HelloFresh employees.
We expect all our suppliers, including our staffing partners to comply with all applicable laws and our Ethical Trading Policy. Our Ethical Trading Policy sets minimum standards regarding human rights, environmental standards and fair business that HelloFresh understands as the foundation of all our business activities. The Ethical Trading Policy prohibits any forms of forced or bonded labor (including any form of modern slavery or human trafficking), child labor, discrimination, harassment, harsh or inhumane treatment. It also requires suppliers to respect worker rights, provide a safe and hygienic workplace, and ensure timely payment of wages.
We use Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) as our main provider of ethical assurance for companies within our supply chain. In addition, we request audits based on the SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) standard to verify our suppliers’ compliance with our ethical trading standards.

We Are Committed to Giving Back to the Community
At HelloFresh, we believe everyone deserves access to wholesome, nutritious meals. That’s why we have partnered with the Felix Project, to deliver surplus food from our production facilities directly to homes around London. To date, we have delivered over 13 million meals to those in need. You can learn more about our work with Felix Project here.
We are also proud to foster relationships with local charities surrounding our Distribution Centres. Each Friday night we deliver surplus foods to charities in the surrounding areas, to support local families in need.
