Welcome to HelloFresh Gardens

Welcome to HelloFresh Gardens

Here at HelloFresh, we’re committed to wasting less food. We’ve partnered with Social Farms & Gardens, a UK-wide charity that supplies community growing spaces for local residents, to help communities and families to learn more about living sustainably and growing their own.

By growing their own fruit, vegetables and flowers, people of all ages can come together to find out more about where food comes from, learn new gardening skills and enjoy the benefits of being in nature. This year, we’ll be shining a spotlight on families and children in particular, helping to inspire a future generation to grow their own and adopt sustainable practices. We’ve also teamed up with low-waste chef and food champion Max La Manna who will help to inspire people to adopt more sustainable habits, reduce their carbon footprint and inform a future generation of budding chefs and cooks.

“I am absolutely thrilled to join forces with HelloFresh for this campaign that aligns closely with my deep-seated passion. My personal commitment lies in making the most out of every ingredient, be it through creative recipes or mindful practices like repurposing leftovers for composting or crafting. Now, more than ever, it's imperative that we collectively reduce our daily food wastage. What truly resonates with me about this campaign, and the larger mission of HelloFresh, is the focus on nurturing and educating the younger generation about the invaluable merits of food waste reduction. Together, we aspire to cultivate a new generation of food waste champions!”

Fresh and seasonal produce for you and your community

Grow with Social Farms & Gardens

Grow with Social Farms & Gardens

In partnership with Social Farms & Gardens, the HelloFresh Gardens initiative is designed to support and encourage local communities to grow their own vegetables, reduce their carbon footprint and adopt more sustainable habits. This initiative will allow locals to access seasonal produce and provide vital spaces for families to educate the next generation on their farm to fork journey.

This year, we’ll also be providing additional educational resources to help future generations learn about the importance of reducing food waste. We’ve created the HelloFresh Curr-EAT-ulum Garden Syllabus, especially for parents and schools, to help inspire young minds which can be downloaded HERE.

The Curr-EAT-ulum Syllabus

The Curr-EAT-ulum Syllabus has been designed with the smallest of green fingers in mind. This entertaining and informative resource aims to encourage future generations to think about ways they can reduce food waste. Aimed at primary aged children between the ages of 5 and 10, these easy-to-follow fun and engaging activities will ignite their curiosity and help foster a new generation of food waste heroes.

“Following the success of our partnership with HelloFresh last year, we’re excited to be extending the initiative further, creating a toolkit which will be rolled out across our member gardens. We can’t wait for our member gardens to put the CurrEATulum into action with simple activities that the kids will love. Not only will they be learning about the importance of food waste from a young age, but they’ll also be spending time outdoors and seeing the benefits of growing your own produce at home, no matter how big or small!”

Go green for your wellbeing

Go green for your wellbeing

The HelloFresh Gardens partnership aims to provide a host of mental, physical and social health benefits for local communities. Studies have shown that growing your own food and spending time outdoors in nature are proven to have a wide range of benefits, including reducing stress and boosting self-esteem. According to the Royal Horticultural Society, those who garden every day have better wellbeing and lower stress levels overall.
Help to stop food waste in the UK

Help to stop food waste in the UK

More than three quarters (79%) of Brits admit to cooking too much. Through our partnership with Social Farm & Gardens, HelloFresh aims to encourage individuals to consider just how much food they waste through initiatives such as growing your own and composting. Composting heaps are available at all HelloFresh Gardens sites and are a great way for users to get involved, whether that’s by repurposing vegetable cuttings into compost or planting cuttings to create new vegetables.
