A Well Travelled Beef Stroganoff

with Pasta Ribbons (F)

Before fast food restaurants got in on the act very few recipes could beat the air miles racked up by the humble Beef Stroganoff. Created in Russia in the 1800’s for Count Pavel Stroganov, the dish quickly spread to China where it was adopted by U.S. servicemen, before being shipped back to America. Hong Kong and Japan fell shortly afterwards and today you can order a plate to accompany your Caipirinha in Brazil or even your glass of ‘doug’ in Iran. Step aside, Colonel Sanders.

Boxes and ingredients are packed in facilities that handles Peanut, Nuts, Sesame, Fish, Crustaceans, Milk, Egg, Mustard, Celery, Soya, Gluten and Sulphites. Due to the war in Ukraine, it has been necessary to substitute sunflower oil with rapeseed oil in some products without a label change. The FSA have advised that allergic reactions to rapeseed oil are rare.
