Why ‘-ish’? Well this curry isn’t strictly a chana masala, as the authentic dish has fewer ingredients. We thought it would be nice with a few extras though. In fact this dish is a testament to experimentation, since it just goes to show that you don’t need to stick to an exact script to come up with something super tasty. Next time you’re whipping up an old favourite why not make a few additions of your own. Even if it’s just a pinch of this and that, every Heston Blumenthal needs to start somewhere.
