People are very friendly down in the West Country. When Patrick first arrived at university in those parts he was a little taken aback when the septuagenarian owner of his local newsagents referred to him as “My Lover” everytime he bought a pint of milk. Turns out there was no need to blush as it’s a fairly common greeting down there. Aside from friendliness, another famous West Country export is the humble Cornish pasty. This one’s a Hello Fresh first but it was so much fun to make that we couldn’t resist giving it a try! When rolling out the pastry we recommend dividing it in two and tackling one half at a time.
