Instructions

1
  • Boil a half-full kettle.
  • Pour it into a saucepan with 0.25 tsp salt on high heat.
  • Boil the rice, 10-12 mins.
  • Once cooked, drain, pop back in the pan and cover.
2
  • Meanwhile, halve the bell pepper and discard the core and seeds. Chop into 1cm chunks.
  • Heat a frying pan on high heat with a drizzle of oil. Once hot, fry the pepper and pork mince, 5-6 mins.
  • Break up the mince as it cooks, then drain the fat. Season with salt and pepper. IMPORTANT: Wash hands and utensils after handling raw meat. Cook so there's no pink in the middle.
3
  • Meanwhile, cut the lime into wedges.
  • Add the Malaysian style paste, soy, half the sweet chilli sauce, peas and honey (see pantry) to the pork.
  • Once the rice is cooked, add the rice to the mince with some lime juice and mix.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
4
  • Share the Malaysian style pork fried rice between your serving bowls.
  • Drizzle over the remaining sweet chilli sauce.
  • Sprinkle over the sesame seeds.
  • Serve with any remaining lime wedges.

Enjoy!
