Pepper Crusted Steak

Pepper Crusted Steak

with Fennel Two (or Three) Ways

It’s a rare appearance for one of our favourite ingredients tonight: fennel! If you just happen to have a mandolin (the kitchen tool rather than the musical instrument*) it would be perfect to shave off some strands for your garnish. If you don’t have a mandolin you can try slicing it very, very thin or simply skip the step and roast the whole lot. Either way this is one of our favourite recipes yet. If you happen to have a bottle of something red open then all the better.

*This may also work but we haven’t tried it ourselves.

The quantities provided above are averages only.

Boxes and ingredients are packed in facilities that handles Peanut, Nuts, Sesame, Fish, Crustaceans, Milk, Egg, Mustard, Celery, Soya, Gluten and Sulphites. Due to the war in Ukraine, it has been necessary to substitute sunflower oil with rapeseed oil in some products without a label change. The FSA have advised that allergic reactions to rapeseed oil are rare.
