Alexander the Great’s Nutty Pilau

Alexander the Great’s Nutty Pilau

with Coriander Raita

The humble pilau can trace its roots all the way back to the times of Alexander the Great, who was quite partial to a bowl before conquering his next country. If he was getting his laughing gear around tonight’s recipe there’s a good chance he’d have made it past his 32nd Birthday too. Flaked almonds and cashews combine with nigella and sunflower seeds for a hit of protein whilst brown rice gives you a fibre packed source of energy. Great for taking on any daily battles you might have!

The quantities provided above are averages only.

Boxes and ingredients are packed in facilities that handles Peanut, Nuts, Sesame, Fish, Crustaceans, Milk, Egg, Mustard, Celery, Soya, Gluten and Sulphites. Due to the war in Ukraine, it has been necessary to substitute sunflower oil with rapeseed oil in some products without a label change. The FSA have advised that allergic reactions to rapeseed oil are rare.
