Cantonese cooking brings a lighter, often tart-tasting sauce to classic stir-fries, with a splash of Shaoxing wine to bring glossiness. Instead of the wine, pineapple juice brings the tartness in our sauce, and pairs perfectly with a classic prawn, veg and egg noodle stir-fry.

Produced in a facility that processes eggs, milk, fish, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Cooking Steps

Get Prepped
1

a) Halve the bell pepper and discard the core and seeds. Slice into thin strips.

b) Peel and grate the garlic (or use a garlic press).

c) Trim the green beans and chop into thirds.

Fry the Prawns
2

a) Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil with ½ tsp salt for the noodles.

b) Drain the prawns. Heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat.

c) Once hot, add the prawns. Season with salt and pepper and stir-fry for 4-5 mins. Once cooked, remove the pan from the heat. IMPORTANT: Wash your hands and equipment after handling raw prawns. They're cooked when pink on the outside and opaque in the middle.

Cook the Noodles
3

a) Meanwhile, when your pan of water is boiling, add the noodles and cook until tender, 4 mins.

b) Once cooked, drain in a sieve and run under cold water to stop them sticking together.

Bring on the Veg
4

a) Once the prawns is browned, add the sliced pepper and green beans to the pan. Cook until softened, 3-4 mins.

b) Once the veg has softened, stir in the garlic, Cantonese style stir-fry sauce, soy sauce and water (see pantry for amount).

c) Stir-fry until everything's piping hot, 1-2 mins.

Combine and Stir
5

a) Once the noodles are cooked, add them to the prawn stir-fry and toss to coat in the sauce.

b) Cook until piping hot, 1-2 mins. Add a splash of water if you feel it needs it.

Serve
6

a) Share the prawn noodles between your bowls.
