Not to be confused with rice, orzo is actually a type of pasta. This Easy Beef Bolognese Orzo is ready in less than 15 minutes, paired with an easy Bolognese style beef ragu and plenty of cheese.

- Boil a half-full kettle.
- Pour it into a saucepan with ½ tsp salt on high heat.
- Boil the orzo, 10 mins.
- Once cooked, drain in a sieve.
- Meanwhile, heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan on high heat.
- Once hot, fry the bacon, beef and mushrooms, 5-6 mins.
- Break up the mince as it cooks, then drain the fat.
- Season with salt and pepper. IMPORTANT: Wash hands and utensils after handling raw meat. Cook so there's no pink in the middle. Cook bacon thoroughly.
- Stir the passata, red wine stock paste, mixed herbs, sugar and water (see pantry for both) into the beef.
- Simmer, 1-2 mins.
- Stir the sun-dried tomato paste, cooked orzo and cheese into the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the orzo bolognese in bowls.
- Top with the rocket leaves.
