Get Started

  • Boil a full kettle.
  • Pour it into a saucepan with 1/2 tsp salt on high heat.
  • Boil the orzo, 10 mins.
  • Once cooked, drain, pop back in the pan and drizzle with oil.
Fry Bacon

  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan on high heat.
  • Once hot, fry the bacon and mushrooms, 5-6 mins. IMPORTANT: Wash your hands and equipment after handling raw meat. Cook bacon thoroughly.
  • Meanwhile, grate the Cheddar.

  • Next, stir in the chicken stock paste, creme fraiche and water (see pantry).
  • Simmer, 2-3 mins. Remove from the heat. 
  • Stir in the Cheddar, hard Italian style cheese, sun-dried tomato paste and orzo. Toss to coat.

  • Share the orzo between your bowls.
  • Top with the rocket leaves.
