Cooking Instructions and Tips
- Boil a full kettle.
- Pour it into a saucepan with 1/2 tsp salt on high heat.
- Boil the orzo, 10 mins.
- Once cooked, drain, pop back in the pan and drizzle with oil.
- Heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan on high heat.
- Once hot, fry the bacon and mushrooms, 5-6 mins. IMPORTANT: Wash your hands and equipment after handling raw meat. Cook bacon thoroughly.
- Meanwhile, grate the Cheddar.
- Next, stir in the chicken stock paste, creme fraiche and water (see pantry).
- Simmer, 2-3 mins. Remove from the heat.
- Stir in the Cheddar, hard Italian style cheese, sun-dried tomato paste and orzo. Toss to coat.
- Share the orzo between your bowls.
- Top with the rocket leaves.
