Instructions

Get Started

Boil a full kettle.
Pour it into a saucepan with 1/2 tsp salt on high heat.
Boil the orzo, 10 mins.
Once cooked, drain, pop back in the pan and drizzle with oil.

Fry Bacon

Heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan on high heat.
Once hot, fry the bacon and mushrooms, 5-6 mins. IMPORTANT: Wash your hands and equipment after handling raw meat. Cook bacon thoroughly.
Meanwhile, grate the Cheddar.

Flavour Time

Next, stir in the chicken stock paste, creme fraiche and water (see pantry).
Simmer, 2-3 mins. Remove from the heat.
Stir in the Cheddar, hard Italian style cheese, sun-dried tomato paste and orzo. Toss to coat.

Dinner's Ready!

Share the orzo between your bowls.
Top with the rocket leaves.
